„I am Ákos Bartha, the singer and music producer of ManGoRise. As the concert season was coming to an end, I wanted some pleasant domestic active relaxation with my family. As a father of two children, I wanted to go to a place that meets all needs. I visited the Pápai Várkertfürdő for the first time during a performance, and even then I noticed the excellent energies of the place. So we chose this place.
The bath spreads over 4 hectares, with eight outdoor and 10 indoor pools waiting for visitors. Six giant slides and four smaller slides – so for families, fun is guaranteed.
The waiting time here also falls into the more than acceptable category, just like at the entrance or with the many dining options.
It is clearly seen that care has been taken in the design for the safety and entertainment of the little guests. We were welcomed by truly colorful and creative children's pools.
Of course, the full-service thermal bath with its two medicinal pools and all necessary treatments is just as favorable for the older generation.
For sauna enthusiasts, an entire floor is available, but imagine, there is also a squash court and a fully equipped gym in the facility. (which I personally enjoyed using in the mornings, just like the standard swimming pools – I loved it)
On the territory of Várkertfürdő , there is a white sandy beach lined with palm trees – it gives a completely seaside atmosphere. The more daring can even jump in from a height of 4.5 meters.
Accommodation was provided by the miniHotel established on the territory of Várkert Bath, and by using it, all services automatically became accessible. So the only thing we had to do was truly relax for a few days.
The rooms are spacious and include all comfort features; we even had a kitchenette available, which was a great help for a family.
Meals are provided by the well-reputed Várkert Restaurant, with its huge and delicious dishes. On the half-board menu, we could choose from a variety of soups, main dishes, and desserts – and, well, I have to admit, we stuffed ourselves full.
The staff was professional in every case; we practically only encountered smiling and helpful people – which for a city person, let's admit, is a double thumbs-up.
In the shady, park-like area, apparently every age group found their own entertainment. The atmosphere during swimming was calm and cheerful.
Compared to Budapest prices, the costs were at least a third lower – I paid 400 HUF for a half-liter spritzer, and 1,300 HUF for a fully loaded lángos… – Well, let's admit, that's not bad!
Overall, with children of this age, looking for this type of active recreation, I think it would have been hard to find better.
For us, there will always be a pin on the map here.
Várkertfürdő – Pápa, an experience for the whole family!
