Pápai Termálvízhasznosító Zrt. successfully applied for the Internship Program for Supporting Career Starters announced by the Ministry of National Economy under the Economic Development and Innovation Operational Program, through which it was awarded 12 million forints to implement the project. Within this framework, it undertook the practical training of 2 snack bar/counter/waiter interns and 2 gardening interns.

Várkertfürdő operates with several catering units, some of which operate year-round, while others operate seasonally during the summer period. During the beach season, 25 people work to carry out catering tasks. Interns in this area learn to perform everyday professional tasks, and they also gain experience in guest service, the written and unwritten rules of dealing with guests, and have the opportunity to build human relationships. Their main task is the professional and high-quality service of guests, the preparation and cooking of quickly prepared meals.

The 4-hectare park of Várkertfürdő requires the completion of numerous horticultural tasks on a daily basis. Most of the area is wooded, but there are also many open grassy surfaces, and the surroundings of the buildings and pools are carefully planted with flowers, perennials, and evergreens, which require continuous maintenance and care to preserve their beauty. Similarly, many plants are found inside the enclosed areas of the bath, whose care is also a significant task due to the special climate. The activities of horticultural interns differ during the bathing season and outside of it; the program teaches them these tasks. During the bathing season, the main tasks include continuous mowing and watering of the grassy areas, trimming hedges, removing damaged branches from trees, planting annual flowers, and caring for existing garden plants – both flowering and perennial. Outside of the bathing season, the focus is on caring for potted plants and overwintering the bath's container plants.

The grant also provides an opportunity for equipment purchases for carrying out internship tasks, so Várkertfürdő will purchase two deep fryers, a glass washer, a warmer, and two large pots for buffet activities; for gardening work, it will acquire a lawn tractor with a rotary brush, a trailer, a snow plow blade, and a walk-behind floor cleaner.
